20.05.2024, 16:30// Curated by Başak Şenova and presented at the Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna, Insàturo by Egle Oddo is a performative project that explores soil as a dynamic site of biological, social, and symbolic relations. Performed in collaboration with musician Rebecca Minten, the work builds on Oddo’s long-term practice of creating living sculptures and evolutionary gardens, emphasising soil as both material and conceptual ground through processes of decomposition, regeneration, and interspecies interaction. Through an interdisciplinary approach that brings together performance, music, and scientific research, Insàturo repositions soil from an inert substrate into a sensorial and relational field, addressing urgent ecological and socio-political concerns while fostering awareness of biodiversity, environmental transformation, and the future of planetary life.
